ABOUT US

OUR TEACHERS

We are all qualified and experienced teachers of French and have enhanced DBS and public liability insurance.  Some teachers are native French speakers and some have spent a lot of time studying, living, working and holidaying in France. We are all passionate about giving children the opportunity to learn additional languages from a young age. Seeing them having so much fun and knowing that they are acquiring the language at the same time is very satisfying.

WHY LEARN ANOTHER LANGUAGE AT A YOUNG AGE?

* Learning language is a natural process when children are very young. Experts agree that introducing children to foreign languages should begin as early as possible: the sooner, the better!
* Modern foreign language learning has been a compulsory part of primary education since September 2014. In fact 75% of primary schools now teach French so there’s no better way to gain a good foundation and prepare for school.
* 200 million people speak French in 55 French speaking countries around the world. Being able to speak even just a little of this international language (the internet's third most common language) provides many benefits including:
  • opportunities to take part in overseas travel, study or work experiences.
  • making it easier to learn other languages.
  • promoting cross-cultural understanding.
  • laying the foundations for raising citizens with a global perspective.
  • accelerated progress in literacy and numeracy.
  • improvement in creative thinking and other intellectual skills.
* Learning in a group of children of similar age is an enjoyable and motivating way to learn a foreign language.
